Founder
Meet Shakira Mohamed
Before founding Guest Lock Solutions, Shakira spent over a decade with Cardzgroup Africa — one of Southern Africa's most respected smart card manufacturers — where she built deep expertise across the full spectrum of card technology: loyalty programmes, payment cards, transportation systems, and access control solutions. Working with hotel groups, banks, and enterprise clients across the country, she developed an intimate understanding of what South African businesses need from their card and credential partners.
It was during this time that Shakira identified a critical gap: while the broader South African card industry was well served, the hospitality sector — hotels, resorts, lodges, and spas — lacked a dedicated specialist who truly understood their unique requirements. Partnering with Cardzgroup Africa as her exclusive supply and manufacturing partner, Shakira founded Guest Lock Solutions to bring that same level of technical excellence, product quality, and localised South African support specifically to the hospitality market.
Her approach is refreshingly personal: every client works directly with Shakira to select the right access products, customise designs to match their property's brand, and build a complete guest access strategy.
